Be self contained , there is a department store in the town which will be ideal to refill your camping cooking gear. Carry drinking water. The lighthouse tour cost ten dollars per person. Check the timings in advance as there is preference for tourists arriving in groups. The tour takes 30min.... It’s quite windy out there so carry a windcheeter..
- Ben Deverall Added September 16, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ★Worth the drive, was a great afternoon, take the time to read about the light house keepers and what they went through working the light house all those years back, very interesting stuff. If it is windy Jetty Beach camp ground offers some shelter and a lovely beach to have a bite and put your feet up or dip in the crystal clear water.
- John van Dongen Added September 10, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Lovely place to visit where you can buy quality cheese, honey and chocolate and have a great meal at the Bruny Island Hotel. There are some nice lookouts where you can see some beautiful beaches. The island is home to penguins and Wallabies including remarkable albino Wallabies.
- Tammy Jacobson Added August 10, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Dirt roads in pretty good condition.... Bunny rabbits everywhere at the lighthouse.... Magnificent views.... Very cold and windy in the winter months.... Have to be reasonably fit and able bodied to walk to the attractions....
- Kel Medbury Added August 20, 2017★ ★ ★ ★ ★Excellent day-trip destination from Hobart. Put you car on the ferry and then explore the island - cheese & beer factory, smoke house, oysters and seafood. Amazing views from The Neck and Lighthouse.
